The Academy of the Arts has long been synonymous with its founder and director, Dr. L. Scott Martin, or "Dr. Scott" as he is often called.
The Academy is now known for its top-quality training techniques in voice and performance that has allowed several individuals to achieve their dream of a professional vocal performance career.

In early May of this year, 2008, Dr. Martin was diagnosed with extremely aggressive tongue cancer. Shortly there after he had all of his teeth removed. He went through radiation treatments for his tongue and throat.
As a result of Dr. Martin's illness, the Academy has been adversely affected the Academy and Dr. Martin financially. The Academy is currently asking for donations which will go towards things like rent, utilities, new teeth, etc.

Individualized and customized Lessons Academy Staff Members customize your lessons to your individual needs and style. This is not a “cookie cutter” approach. Each student is evaluated and trained according to their unique level of experience and ability. Your rapport with your teacher is the key to the success of your vocal training at the Academy.
In addition to customized lessons, we offer lessions in a variety of mediums including the phone, webcam, and vocal evaluations.
